Summer on Show

CORNISHMAN - July 3 1997

A REMINDER of how the summer should be will be on display at St Michael's Mount on Sunday!

For a painting of bright yellow sunflowers, with the Mount basking in the moonlight of a warm summer's evening, will be the centre of attraction at an open day in aid of St Julia's Hospice, Hayle.

Painted and donated by Penwith artist, Michael Strang, "Gulval Sunflowers by Moonlight" has been reproduced as a postcard which can be bought for £1, with the buyer being automatically entered for a raffle for the original oil painting.

Mr Strang will be a guest at the open day, which starts at 12 noon, and Lord and Lady St Levan will also be present. The painting will be on display at the Barge House.
